Recently at the APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association) Awards, held in Melbourne, The Potbelleez took out the coveted prize of "Dance Work of the Year" for their Platinum selling hit single "Don't Hold Back."

It's seems the Belleez can do no wrong wether smashing out their live show or Dj set they are guaranteed to deliver.

They have become a Q Thursday favourite and they are back because they love us and Q too.

GRANT SMILLIE'S 10 YEAR RETROSPECTIVE Q FRIDAY 3/07/09

Friday July 3rd Q, Big Dog and Neon present a highly anticipated night when Melbourne's own and now internationally renowned Dj/Producer GRANT SMILLIE does his 10 year retrospective.

The most inspirational and biggest tunes of the past decade over 6 hours of pure pleasure. Grant will be joined by special guest RUBY ROSE and a supporting cast which includes Aaron Trotman and Nick Young.

Q THURSDAY WINTER SERIES ACT 2 BABY GEE 25/06/09.

The QLD wonder kid Baby Gee makes his triumphant return to Q Thursday as part of the 'Winter Series' and is ready to tear it up.

He has been touring extensively since we saw him last and no doubt has some new tricks in his bag. Now that exams are winding down it is now time for you to really cut loose and Q Thursday is your one stop shop.

Our Q residents Feenix Pawl, Chardy, Sean Rault, Ben Pittard, Myles Mac and the 'Red Light District' with Bongmist, Octologic, Lewie Day join 'Baby' in the mayhem with Dj Habebe from Bris-Vegas coming to do his thing.

We are turning up the heat on the Winter Series all through the chilly months and watch this space as the acts keep coming.

Escaping the pressure of being Sydney’s coolest wedding DJ, Gregg recently  relocated his portable buffet to Melbourne. 

Since his arrival, he has been consistently  turning bread and butter parties into gourmet baguette-fests, with extra cheese!  

Mixing the eclectic with the ironic and dastardly danceable, Gregg guarantees you’ll  never guess the next song in his set. His track selection is like that mix-tape you  made for that first love back in high-school. 

Things get emotional and before you  know it you’re dancing and crying at the same time.  No apprentice when it comes to mashing up, Gregg’s Original Combos have sliced  through radio airwaves in Sydney & Melbourne.

Gregg is joined by our Thursday 'Deck Heads' Feenix Pawl, Chardy, Sean Rault, Myles Mac and Ben Pittard with Lewie Day, Octologic and Jean Pierre in the 'Red Light District.'

HOSH (GERMANY) @ Q FRIDAY 19th JUNE 09

H.O.S.H from Hamburg / Germany formerly known as Holger Behn, started his producing career about five years ago with the project Motion 040 together with Jay Pauli.


With releases on Get Physical, Paloma, Force Sense and Word and Sounds own Wizkidz / Waskidz and Remixes on Labels such like Plusquam or Pias he already has got quiet a bit around.


In 2005 then Holger decided to get more focused on his solo project H.O.S.H. and a first base was found soon on Oliver Koletzki´s label Stil vor Talent. Then later in 2005 he made up with Mladen Solomun and Adriano Trolio who where about to come up with the Label Diynamic Music.



With several releases on Diynamic and Stil vor Talent, H.O.S.H. really found his definition of modern House. His tunes are for all wanting to escape the scene grind but still want to stay on the dancefloor.


With this concept he already earned a lot of respect and his tracks are played and charted by djs such as Dj T, Karotte, Martin Landsky, Kiki, Tiger Stripes, Oliver Koletzki, Dan Berkson, Benno Blome and Sebbo K. just to name a few.



His most known track so far probably is "Steppenwolf" which made it in the groove charts on place 18 and got relicensed on a few compilations worldwide.



In 2008 several releases on Diynamic, Stil vor Talent, Kindisch and Get Physical will follow and also some great remixes are in the box…

Tim Richards is a long standing NZ DJ/Producer who has not only been signed with Defected , Curfew and Dieb Audio but has now started his own Digital imprint, Signature Sounds.   Working with the likes of King Unique ,Magik Johnson,James Talk, Luke Bowditch + more there is alot to come from this still young producer.

One of the biggest dates on the Q calendar has to be Sunday Queen's birthday long weekend and 09 will be no exception.
